As a Senior Architectural Technician, Alan contributes to FAAS by providing support to the design, drafting and construction teams as needed by drawing on his 30 years of experience in these fields. With a Diploma in Architectural Technology from SAIT, experience running his own studio and receiving residential design awards throughout the years, Alan is a force to be reckoned with. Alan is really impressed by the hardworking yet fun nature of the people and atmosphere in the office. In his spare time, Alan enjoys cooking and baking bread. He is an avid reader and cyclist (mostly gravel riding). He also skis, coaches kids’ baseball and basketball and is currently restoring a 1972 BMW. Alan has been happily married to his wife Lara for the last 23 years. They have two children together and a two-year-old dog named Maverick.
